Role Description
As Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for day-to-day operational delivery across your assigned contracts. You’ll lead and support Team Leaders, ensure programmes run smoothly while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
You will be accountable for:
* Promoting a strong Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental culture
* Leading, guiding and supporting Team Leaders to deliver works safely and efficiently
* Managing site operations and ensuring all documentation is completed and compliant
* Maintaining professional communication with clients
* Coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers
* Ensuring all staff are inducted, competent and compliant with company standards
* Managing costs, outputs and productivity while maintaining quality and safety standards
* Managing plant, vehicles and equipment
* Building positive working relationships across the wider BituChem Group
Qualifications
* Experience leading & managing construction, highway maintenance, road surfacing or surface treatments operations
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
* Proficiency in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control
* Proficiency in budgeting and cost control
* Working knowledge of National Highway Sector Scheme for the Supply and Application of Surface Treatments to Road Surfaces (NHSS 13)
* SMSTS and relevant construction NVQ (Level 5/6/7)
* CSCS Black Card
* Understanding of NHSS 12 and traffic management requirements
* Strong IT skills, especially Outlook, SharePoint & Excel
* Full UK driving licence (HGV C/C+E an advantage)
