Interim Finance Controller - Immediate Start Location: Wellingborough (On-site, 5 days per week) Contract: Interim Rate: Competitive day rate Duration: 3-6 months (with potential extension) We're looking for a hands-on and experienced Interim Finance Controller to step into a key leadership role at a manufacturing business based in Wellingborough. This is a fully on-site role and requires someone who can hit the ground running, provide immediate stability, and play a central role in the recruitment and handover to a permanent postholder. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the finance function during a critical transition period. Take ownership of the month-end close, reporting, and all day-to-day finance operations. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow oversight. Work closely with operational teams and senior leadership to maintain financial control and visibility. Identify and implement process improvements where needed. Actively support and advise on the recruitment of the permanent Finance Controller, including handover planning and onboarding. About You: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. Confident leading a finance function independently. Able to work at pace with a strong problem-solving mindset. Comfortable working full-time, on-site in Wellingborough - this is non-negotiable. Previous interim experience is highly desirable.
