The role supports the BT Workplace team, delivering maintenance services to 8,000 buildings in the UK, from commercial offices to call centres and retail shops. Responsibilities
* Delivery of the physical workplace experience in a single or multiple customer locations
* Deliver service commitments, maintain high standards of HSE and a secure workplace, control costs, drive service improvement, and improve customer satisfaction
* Build and sustain effective relationships within the customer organisation
* Ensure compliance with processes and procedures, statutory requirements, engineering standards, and Health & Safety systems
* Provide planned and reactive maintenance on building fabric and related plumbing tasks as identified on the fabric competency matrix
* Support Projects & Construction team and Facilities Services Manager in identifying, scoping, and delivering uplift and refit projects
* Complete risk assessments before work and maintain full documentation
* Record and report any risk, loss, or defect to management for corrective action
* Ensure Site Activity Log Books are completed timely and accurately
* Participate in an Emergency Call Out Service as required
* Support development of colleagues, including Facilities Technicians and apprentices
* Undertake the Control of Works Authorised Person (AP) role and assist in identifying other APs and Competent Persons (CPs)
* Understand environmental responsibilities and follow the CBRE environmental policy to support environmental objectives
Qualifications
* Able to demonstrate competence in building fabric tasks (plastering, joinery, glazing, plumbing, decorating) as per the fabric competency matrix
* Able to organise a small team to undertake fabric projects, including managing and overseeing fabric work of Facilities Technicians
* Fully conversant with relevant HSE requirements and their application
* Diligent with attention to quality and customer focus
* Ability to constructively challenge established thinking and implement improvements for customers and CBRE
* Essential – proven experience in a building trade or building fabric role
* Essential knowledge of Health & Safety and environmental requirements related to delivery of tasks, including manual handling, legionella awareness, PASMA, IPAF, asbestos awareness, and roof work
Desirable
* Level 3 or equivalent building fabric qualification (NVQ, BTEC, or apprenticeship in a building trade)
* Full UK driving licence
