Exceptional patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you'll help patients feel good by providing clear advice and a wide range of dispensing services. You will work across the healthcare counter and dispensary to meet patient needs, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a difference.
What you’ll be doing day to day.
Providing health advice through focused conversations and delivering accurate answers. Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
We offer an exciting career opportunity. You should have either an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or be working towards an Mpharm course at university. Additionally, you need a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent. If not completed, we will support your training within 6 months of joining. We also support progression towards NVQ Level 3 and registration with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, potentially leading to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician role. Your pay and benefits will reflect your development.
