Responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Technician
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will:
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance and corrective mechanical repairs to maximise plant availability.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults across equipment in Mechanical Treatment, Anaerobic Digestion, and Incineration areas.
* Complete all maintenance records and work orders accurately within the CMMS system.
* Support safe working practices by following permits, risk assessments, and leading by example during toolbox talks and handovers.
* Assist with monitoring plant performance and work closely with operations and engineering teams to meet site KPIs.
* Coordinate with contractors and suppliers during on-site maintenance or repair activities.
* Contribute to managing mechanical spare parts, ensuring stock accuracy and availability.
* Provide support and guidance to less experienced team members, helping to develop technical capability within the team.
