Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and forward-thinking Secondary School in Middleton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated education professional who is ready to make an immediate impact.
The role is available to start as soon as possible, offering daily pay between £95 and £100, dependent on experience.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. Working closely with class teachers and the wider pastoral team, you will:
1. Provide in-class support across a range of subjects
2. Deliver targeted interventions to small groups and individual pupils
3. Support students with additional learning needs, including SEND
4. Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
5. Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
This is a hands-on role requiring confidence, adaptability and a proactive approach.
Essential Requirements
Please note: Only candidates with prior experience working in schools or the education sector will be considered.
To be successful in this role, you must:
6. Have proven experience working within a school setting (secondary preferred)
7. Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
8. Be confident supporting pupils with varying abilities and needs
9. Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
10. Provide relevant professional references
