Assistant Team Manager

Responsibilities
* Assist in managing the Assessment and Child Protection Team, ensuring effective supervision and support of staff.
* Collaborate with other assistant team managers to assess all new cases requiring statutory assessment through the MASH front door.
* Oversee the team during duty week, occurring one in every four weeks, to handle new referrals and complete necessary assessments and safeguarding processes.
* Ensure strict adherence to deadlines and make informed, safe decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Adapt to changing needs and requests at short notice, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
Person Specification
* Must hold a Social Worker qualification.
* Experience and training in MASH/ACP are essential.
* Proven management experience in supervising staff effectively.
* Capable of working collaboratively within a dynamic team committed to improving outcomes for children and families in Swindon.
* Availability to attend the office for 1 full week out of 4 during duty week, and 1-2 days in other weeks.
