Overview
We're looking for a Team Leader to join our Adult Social Care day services, supporting adults with a learning disability. This hands‑on leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with people and supporting a small, dedicated team. Our day service helps adults develop skills, build confidence, and participate in meaningful activities within their community. We focus on being person‑centred, supportive, and ensuring everyone feels safe, valued, and heard. The Team Leader will manage a small staff team and work closely with the Team Manager to keep the service running smoothly. Flexibility is required, as coverage of sites across North Northamptonshire Council may be needed.
Responsibilities
* Lead the day‑to‑day running of the service
* Support and supervise staff, including inductions and ongoing development
* Help plan timetables and rotas to meet service needs
* Oversee care plans, reviews, audits, and record keeping
* Ensure health and safety are maintained across the building, staff, and service users
* Support quality checks, audits, and service improvements
* Ensure safeguarding and policies are followed at all times

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 4 in Social Care (or equivalent) and a management qualification
* Experience supporting adults with a learning disability
* Experience supervising staff
* Good understanding of current legislation
* Strong organisation, communication, and IT skills
* A positive, flexible approach and commitment to person‑centred support
