Job Title: Certification Officer – Maternity Cover Location: North Sheffield Salary: £24,000 to £27,000 per year depending on experience Contract: Fixed-term until August 2026 Start Date: Immediate If you’re detail-focused, organised and comfortable working with compliance documents, this is a chance to step into a busy quality team right away. We’re supporting a respected engineering company in Sheffield who are looking for a Certification Officer to join their quality assurance team on a maternity cover contract. This role is key to making sure all documentation is accurate, compliant and ready for customer release. You’ll be producing certificates, inspection reports and validation packages, and liaising with both internal teams and customers to keep everything running smoothly. It’s a great opportunity for someone with quality or certification experience, but we’re also open to strong administrators with the right attention to detail and an interest in compliance. What you’ll be doing: Reviewing internal documentation against customer order requirements. Producing release documents including certificates of conformity, FAIR packages, DVI packages and validation submissions. Preparing dispatch documentation to support customer deliveries. Liaising with internal teams to promote product and documentation excellence. Working directly with customers to process amendments and updates. Supporting internal audits and assisting with customer audits and visits. What you’ll need: Understanding of quality procedures and compliance. Strong IT skills including Excel, Word and Windows-based systems. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills, comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
