Youll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but youll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDOs Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively. Youll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients. Overview As a Financial Reporting Advisory Director in Reading, youll lead the regions FR Advisory efforts, working closely with the local Partner to grow its contribution to national revenues. Youll take ownership of technical advisory projects across both local and national scopes, build and manage client relationships, and support fellow Directors and Partners with practice management to ensure smooth operations. Youll be part of a national team that supports CFOs and finance teams in meeting complex financial reporting requirements. Success in this role depends on your ability to apply market-relevant knowledge and deliver innovative, practical solutions. Youll collaborate with stakeholders to drive adoption and make a meaningful impact. Youll be someone with: ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent overseas qualification. Extensive working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRSs, including IFRS 9, 15 and 16. Significant previous experience in a senior role, including delivering financial reporting advisory solutions, statutory accounts preparation or audit services to complex businesses. Proven experience in managing a wide portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams in a project management framework. Proven ability in managing and developing staff i.e. coordinating staff projects, mentoring, counselling, appraising, and recruiting.
