Job Description:
An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Lead Psychologist to work in an exceptional rehabilitation service based in Widnes, Cheshire. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers.
This is a state-of-the-art facility with two areas: a locked assessment and rehabilitation unit for women with complex mental health needs and personality difficulties.
To be considered for this position, you must be registered with the HCPC, BPS accredited, and a Chartered Member of the BPS.
As the Lead Psychologist, your key responsibilities include:
* Attending and contributing to Clinical Leads and Hospital Governance Meetings
* Supporting the provision of psychology services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
* Participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and engaging service users in their care pathway
* Supporting clinical team working, including direct interventions and staff training programs
* Developing new initiatives and ways of working within the service
* Leading Psychology service developments with an evidence-based approach
* Making improvements to the service area
* Participating in the recruitment of junior psychology staff
* Supporting policy development for staff safety and risk management
* Working with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways
The preferred skills and experience include:
* Assessment, formulation, and therapeutic work with service users
* Problem-solving within the service
* Supervising junior team members
* Experience working with trauma and complex needs
* Competency in psychological assessments and formulation skills
The successful candidate will receive a salary up to £70,000 per annum. This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours/week, day shifts). Benefits include:
