Logistics Operative - Forklift Truck Driver

The responsibility of Logistics Operative is to work primarily in the logistics department and conduct all duties in a timely, efficient manner.
A Forklift Truck License Is Required For This Position
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Conduct all duties accustomed with goods in and goods out – unloading, loading, storing and organising goods
* Check delivery notes and appropriate documentation before any delivery is offloaded, checking for damaged, incorrect or missing items
* Palletise, label and prepare orders for dispatch
* Load and unload goods, products and materials
* Store goods appropriately and safely
* Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck, keeping materials stocked up in the appropriate locations for use by production
* Support the department in carrying out stock counts as and when required
* Be physical and manual, with the ability to work within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
* Keep areas of work clean, organised and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
* Make recommendations of improvements to aid efficiency and add value to the department
* Ensure that the forklift is inspected daily for maintenance purposes and inspections are recorded
* Ensure workspaces, the yard and factory areas are kept organised and tidy, with the 'tidy as you go' mentality
* Undertake any other tasks as and when required to fulfil the demands of this role
* Support and work with the production team to conduct any other duties, as and when requested by management
* Delivering to suppliers and customers as and when requried.

Skills and Qualifications & Certifications Required:
Qualifications with relevance to this role would be preferred
Valid Forklift Truck Counterbalance License
Salary: From £12.21 per hour (Weekly Pay)
Shift: Monday to Friday 42.5 hours between the hours of 6am - 6pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
