IT Service Manager – 12-Month FTC
£45,000 - £55,000
Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid working available)
We’re looking for an experienced IT Service Manager to lead the delivery and support of IT services within professional services for a public sector client of ours in Manchester. This is a pivotal role, ensuring IT services effectively support key academic and administrative functions.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Overseeing day-to-day service management and continuous improvement
* Supporting incident, problem, and project delivery activities
* Engaging with stakeholders to deliver tailored, high-quality IT solutions
* Managing budgets, vendor relationships, and compliance standards
* Promoting service excellence and team development
What you’ll bring:
* Strong leadership in IT service delivery, ideally in a higher education or large public sector environment
* ITIL Foundation certification (higher-level ITIL qualifications desirable)
* Proven ability to manage complex services and influence a wide range of stakeholders
* A collaborative, adaptable, and customer-focused mindset
