We're now looking for a skilled MET Technician to join our expanding team in Preston.
What You'll Be Doing
As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you'll play a key role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Your responsibilities will include:
Dismantling and reassembling mechanical, electrical, and trim components with precision and care
Performing four-wheel alignment checks and repairs using manufacturer-recommended methods
Ensuring vehicles are properly protected throughout the repair process
Collaborating with Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and Production teams to ensure efficient workflows
Adhering to health and safety standards, including COSHH requirements and appropriate PPE usage
Working with electric vehicles and staying updated on emerging vehicle technologies
About You
We're looking for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a team environment. Ideally, you'll have:
IMI/ATA MET Technician qualification (or equivalent experience in a Bodyshop environment)
Proven experience in accident repair and vehicle rebuilds
A full UK driving licence (required)
The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
A strong commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Knowledge and/or experience working with electric vehicles is a plus
