Some key information You will be based at the new Ham Hill Visitor Centre, on this Iron Age Hillfort. This is a full-time permanent post. Ham Hill is accessible by car, cycling or walking but please note there is no direct public transport to the Visitor Centre. You will be expected to work some evenings and weekends as the Visitor Centre will be open 7 days a week with some evening events throughout the year. Up to three positions available. 25 days annual leave What will I be doing? We’re working to improve the visitor experience for people coming to Ham Hill – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve: Supervising the café team as shift leader and acting as Duty manager for the Visitor Centre. Serving customers, placing stock orders and driving profitability. Serving excellent coffee in a clean hygienic environment. Assisting the Visitor Services Manager with the smooth running of the site – helping to promote Ham Hill as a great place to visit. What kind of experience or qualifications do I need? We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you have: Shift/duty management experience in hospitality or retail sector. Food Hygiene certificate at Level 2 Trained Barista Positive attitude and ability to overcome challenges Great communication skills and a desire to learn about Ham Hill We’re proud to be here for the people of Somerset.
