Youth Worker SEND
Vision for Education is seeking a passionate Youth Worker interested in starting a career in SEND education. Are you passionate about supporting children and young people? Do you want a rewarding career where you can make a significant difference in young people's lives?
We are excited to offer this bespoke opportunity to support passionate individuals entering the education sector. We collaborate with our client schools to provide successful Youth Workers with high-quality training and paid on-the-job experience.
Following a successful interview and subject to suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to develop your skills further.
About the role:
1. The Youth Worker will support young people with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
2. Build strong rapport with students to encourage attendance and engagement.
3. Follow the guidance of teachers while managing conflicts effectively by understanding each student's needs.
4. Work hours: 8:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday.
5. Term-time only, for the full academic year.
6. No previous experience or qualifications are necessary, just a love for helping others!
About you:
1. A relevant Level 3 Qualification such as Children and Young People's Workforce, Sporting qualifications, or similar is desirable but not essential.
2. Ability to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check.
3. Experience working with children with challenging behaviors and backgrounds.
4. A non-judgmental, caring approach.
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All staff will undergo thorough interviewing and referencing checks and must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
