We are currently seeking a Working Shift Supervisor to join our client's fast-paced food production facility. This hands-on supervisory role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a solid background in food manufacturing, and the ability to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity during shift operations. The successful candidate will lead by example on the production floor-coordinating daily activities, supporting the team, and ensuring production targets are met in line with company and regulatory requirements. Day and night shift available. Working times 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00, following continental shift pattern (week 1-Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday; week 2- Sunday/Wednesday/Thursday). The rate of pay is: - Days £13.01 per hour - Nights £14.71 per hour Your Time at Work As a Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for: - Supervising and supporting the production staff during assigned shifts. - Organising, allocating, and monitoring daily workloads to meet production targets. - Ensuring all operations comply with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards. - Providing on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members. - Overseeing start-up, changeover, and shutdown procedures for production lines. - Monitoring product quality and liaising with QA to resolve any deviations or issues. - Completing shift documentation, reports, and handovers accurately and promptly. - Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to efficiency initiatives. - Maintaining high levels of hygiene and housekeeping across production areas. Our Perfect Worker Our perfect worker will have experience in working in a busy food production warehouse. You will have a sound understanding of standards and be able to motivate the team to adhere to these at all times. Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is desirable for this role.
