Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our cleaning and housekeeping operations within the Kent area, with a primary focus on supporting MAPP at Hempstead Valley. You will also have to be living within a 20-mile radius of Gillingham, Kent. This role is crucial for ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency.

Please see below a summary of your main responsibilities:

* Manage contracts in line with the Contract Specification.
* Ensure hours worked/delivered on your contracts are accurately recorded.
* Arrange/attend Client meetings. Take minutes, notes and report back.
* Manage periodic works and one-off works related to your clients' contracts.
* Manage your contracts within budget and manage sub-contractors.
* Ensure Quality Audits are performed as required.
* Respond positively to Quality Audits or client feedback.
* Ensure all data on the Client database for your contracts is accurate and up to date .
* Recruit, induct and follow probationary process for new staff and undertake exit interviews when staff leave.
* Allocate tasks and work schedules to staff on your contracts.
* Monitor and be responsible for the work of Site Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and Cleaning Operatives on your contract.
* Support, mentor and train those reporting to you.
* Ensure all employees who you are responsible for use equipment and materials correctly.
* Hold staff/team briefings as required
* Manage attendance, disciplinary and grievance matters effectively with the support of the HR Department.
* Maintain a smart and professional appearance at all times, ensuring your staff do likewise.
* Handle holiday requests from staff and ensure that there is sufficient cover.
* Liaise with the Operations Director and HR Director about any staffing issues.

In addition, the ideal candidate will:

* Have a full UK driver's license.
* Good IT knowledge.
* Be able to multitask.
* Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Have strong administration skills.
* Have the flexibility and willingness to learn.
* Have the willingness to get stuck in and help with any tasks.
* Have the ability to build strong relationships.
* Have working knowledge of the cleaning industry.

This position attracts the following terms:

Working Times: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, although you will be required to work two weekends per month. Working hours will be flexible.

Benefits: Company vehicle, additional two days' annual leave per year and eligibility to the Company's bonus scheme (£1,000 per annum) after successfully completing a 6 months' probationary period.
