A vacancy has arisen for Machinist, 1st Shift. Fibrelite Composites designs, manufactures, tests and provides components and products to protect the environment and the consumer. Physical Work Requirements Standing/ sitting 8-10 hours Bending Reaching Pushing/pulling Squatting Must be able to use adhesives, lubricants, etc. Small hand tools usage Lifting 50 lbs./23 KG frequently Work in manufacturing environment, including non-air condition Key Responsibilities Programing CNC milling machine and using machine unsupervised. Using saws when required. Ensuring targets are being completed on time. Drilling frames & covers. Assisting Manager with all duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Tracking material, tool and inventory needs for the department. Actively supporting engineering team in daily tasks. Using of hand held tools and power tools when required. Understanding of technical drawings. Maintaining safe conditions at all the times and ensuring safe work practices are followed at all the times. Implementing all the company’s procedures and policies. Communicating any problems or obstacles to Manager immediately. Notifying management team on any delays and outages. Responsibilities including implementing and sustaining manufacturing technologies that continuously improve operational excellence. Ensuring that all equipment used in the department is properly maintained and operational at all the times. Adhering to all required company policies including safety polices at all times, including wearing all required PPE. Attending all required trainings and meetings including 0Dover meetings. Actively participating in all department projects, tasks and objectives. Using lifting equipment. Meeting and maintaining daily production rates and goals as established and required by the company. Candidate Experience And Qualifications Experience in team work preferred. Ability to operate all equipment and tools used in the department incl. CNC milling machines, saws, drills, angle grinders, etc. (trainings can be provided) Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Required Skills Good communication skills. Must be able to use all required tools and equipment in an assigned work area. Must be able to operate machinery including saw, milling machines, Good level of numeracy skill and comfortable dealing with figures. Ability to effectively problem-solve, in a fast-paced environment. Effective time management, planning and organizational skills. Strong organizational skills.
