Morson Edge is supporting a leading aerospace client in the recruitment of a Senior Mechanical Supervisor to support Hawk fast jet aircraft maintenance operations at RAF Valley
RAF Valley offers something slightly different from many maintenance environments — operational fast jet work in a setting known for its strong engineering culture, close-knit teams, and genuinely impressive surroundings. Based on the Isle of Anglesey, the station combines frontline aviation activity with a better pace of life outside the gate.
This is a hands-on supervisory role within a structured military aviation environment, leading mechanical maintenance activities while supporting aircraft availability, technical standards, and team performance.
Why RAF Valley? Home of UK fast jet pilot training operations
Strong reputation within military aviation engineering circles
Coastal location with beaches, outdoor lifestyle, and less congested living
Well-established service community onsite
Stable operational environment supporting ongoing aircraft activity
36-hour early shift pattern offering better work-life balance than many comparable aviation roles
For many engineers, it's the sort of site people intend to do “for a couple of years” and end up staying much longer.
