As a Storeman, you will play a vital role in supporting the catering team by ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, stock control, and distribution of food, beverages, and supplies. You’ll help maintain high food safety standards, accurate inventory levels, and seamless day-to-day kitchen operations.
This is an active, hands-on role with a clear purpose - ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, values teamwork, and takes pride in keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes.

The Role
1. Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation
2. Inspect deliveries for quality, temperature compliance, and any damage
3. Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
4. Maintain accurate stock records and inventory systems
5. Carry out regular stock takes and report any discrepancies
6. Support waste reduction and cost-control initiatives
7. Distribute goods efficiently to kitchen and hospitality areas
8. Keep storage areas clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
9. Provide support to catering teams during busy service periods when required
10. Adhere to Food Safety, COSHH, and Health & Safety regulations at all times
11. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
About You
12. Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or catering environment is preferred
13. Good understanding of food hygiene and safe storage practices
14. Strong organisational and time management skills
15. Basic IT skills for stock control systems
16. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
17. Physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving deliveries safely
18. Reliable, punctual, and dependable
19. Strong attention to detail
20. Calm under pressure with a positive, proactive approach
