This role supports ensuring that the business is maximising its profits via a laser focus on minimising revenue leakage, ensuring costs incurred are at agreed levels and capitalising on any margin improvement opportunities.
Pricing and Invoicing
* Ensure that shipments are invoiced at the earliest opportunity via management of the GFS Biling Module, including the onboarding of new customers, services and carriers.
* Focused on automation of invoicing and processes. All manual invoicing processes on the clear and short path to automation.
* Calculate highly accurate manual charges and accounting provisions as necessary to support accurate financial reporting.
* Update and distribution of pricing models including the NBT and GFSI calculators, price increase process, and distribution of customer rate cards.
* Investigation of customer invoice queries to ensure prompt resolution and fixes so that issues do not reoccur.
* Manual processes must be avoided and always on a roadmap and path to automated solutions.
Purchasing Analysis
* Analysis of supplier charges to ensure all costs are received in line with customer agreements.
* Analysis of supplier charges to ensure all costs are invoiced to customers with customer agreements.
* Supplier cost management to ensure accurate costs are incurred (Validator).
* Ensure that any inaccuracies in supplier charges whether incorrect rates, or charges levied outside of the contractual agreements are raised with the supplier promptly and managed through to credit notes being provided and reconciled to original charges.
Margin Management
* Supporting the regular review of customer performance to ensure performance to agreed profile. Where they are not performing to profile, make recommendations / elevate appropriately.
* Pricing Analysis to help define and safeguard that new and existing customer commercials are in line with company policy and expected margins.
* Supporting key stakeholders across the business (including Account Management, Commercial and pricing teams) with accurate analysis and insight, providing training where required.
Supporting Improvement Initiatives
* Supporting the development, testing and implementation to ensure continuous improvement of GFS systems and automated solutions.
* Learning new approaches and practices to ensure continual improvement across process and deliverables.
* Identifying areas of improvement that will result in increased efficiencies, productivity, controls, customer service and revenue across the business.
* Picking up ad-hoc projects as & when required.
