A glimpse into the role
You’ll be working with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, helping them take small steps that make a big difference to their school day. From building routines to offering one-to-one support, you’ll play a key part in helping pupils feel comfortable and confident.
You’ll collaborate with teachers, therapists and other support staff to create a warm, structured environment where each child can thrive.
What you’ll bring
1. Experience supporting pupils or young people with SEND
2. A gentle, reassuring approach to communication and behaviour
3. Confidence with personal care and daily routines
4. A team-first mindset and clear communication
5. Level 2 or Level 3 TA training is useful but not essential
6. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
