Initial 3-Month Contract | 37 Hours per Week | £18 Umbrella per Hour (£14 PAYE an hour)
Bedford Council are looking for an experienced and motivated Care Team Leader to join their Adult Social Care team on an initial 3-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and hands-on care experience to make a real difference supporting residents with dementia and complex needs.
The Role As a Care Team Leader, you will:
Lead and supervise care staff, ensuring high standards of care are delivered at all times.
Take charge of shifts and act as the senior in charge, making key decisions and ensuring smooth running of the service.
Provide personal care and support to residents, with a strong focus on dementia care.
Administer medication in line with policies and procedures.
Ensure care plans and records are up to date and accurate.
Support and mentor team members to maintain a positive and professional care environment.About You To be successful in this role, you will need:
Essential experience in dementia care.
Previous experience administering medication.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to run a shift confidently.
A valid Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
Flexibility to work across a rota system, including alternate weekends and bank holidays.Shift Details
Hours: 37 hours per week (flexible rota, 4 weeks in advance)
Shifts:
Early: 07:15 – 15:15
Late: 13:45 – 21:45
