The role
As a Management Accountant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a pivotal role within our Liquid Gas Engineering business, supporting a high‑growth Marine portfolio operating in complex, project‑based environments. This is a commercially focused finance role offering real influence, autonomy and visibility with senior leaders.
Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:
* Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis
* Leading the month‑end close process and ensuring robust financial controls
* Partnering with operational and commercial leaders to explain financial performance
* Maintaining rolling forecasts for revenue, profit and cash flow
* Developing financial models to support planning, investment and continuous improvement
This role is full time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential Experience
* Time‑served experience in management accounting within a project‑led or engineering environment
* Proven technical accounting capability, including revenue recognition and financial controls
* Strong Excel skills with demonstrated financial modelling experience
* Confidence influencing stakeholders through clear, actionable financial insight
Qualifications
* Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA preferred; ACCA or equivalent considered)
* Substantial post‑qualification experience in a management accounting or commercial finance environment
* Sound understanding of financial reporting, forecasting and governance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
