Summary
Freedom Professional Services are currently recruiting a Project Planner to join our team. You will be home based, but you will be required to travel as and when required.
To plan the allocated projects up to the standard required from contract conditions and both internal and client requirements. Plans will be implemented with the best-practice approach utilising Critical Path Analysis, Resource Planning, Cost Management, and Progress/Productivity Monitoring and Control to produce workable, realistic, and efficient plans.
Key responsibilities include:
* Participate in bid activities as requested by senior management, working with the Business Development department and in line with Focus Win processes.
* Work with the Planning Manager / Senior Planner and relevant project personnel to produce and agree on a ‘Contract Baseline’ programme for each project, aligning with the formal contract, price, and workscope.
* Maintain and update the contract baseline in line with contract changes, communicating change impacts effectively to Operations and Commercial Teams.
* Monitor progress and productivity against the project plan, producing and circulating reports such as Resource Histograms, 'S' Curves, and Earned Value Analysis.
* Perform Time/Risk analysis throughout the project lifecycle with the Project Manager.

A highly driven individual with diverse skills in technical, ethical, social, and management areas. You should be a self-starter, motivated by challenges, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, thriving in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications and experience:
* Experience with projects on HV networks
* Experience in Rail / Nuclear / Power / Water sectors (relevant for the role)
* Completed craft apprenticeship or equivalent/higher relevant qualification
* Full UK Driving license (desirable)
* Experience with planning software (P6, Asta)
* Proficiency with planning techniques for tendering and contract delivery
* Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project and P6
