Job Description:
Background
The School of Health & Medical Sciences, combining St George’s School of Health & Medical Sciences and City’s School of Health & Psychological Sciences, is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant. The role involves supporting research projects led by teams from City, St George’s, and Imperial College London, funded through a collaboration supported by GSK and the Fleming Initiative.
Responsibilities
The postholder will support mixed-method research focused on systems and policy evidence related to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in national and global contexts. Responsibilities include project management, data collection and analysis, report writing, contributing to peer-reviewed publications, and assisting with future funding proposals.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have clinical experience, qualitative research expertise, and a demonstrated interest in AMR policy research, evidenced through prior collaboration or publication. A Master’s degree in Health Management or a related field, with knowledge of health systems change through experience in the English NHS, is required. Knowledge of policy analysis frameworks and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams are essential. Project management experience is desirable.
