We invite qualified candidates to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in large‑area thin‑film optoelectronics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in a stimulating EU HORIZON‑funded research project focused on developing and fully characterising organic functional materials and their integration into thin‑film optoelectronic devices.
Responsibilities
Designing, fabricating and characterising thin‑film devices such as photodetectors, with optimised architectures and performance. The use of solution processing and the vacuum sublimation method to create devices with improved hole‑transport characteristics will be key priorities for the project.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate holds or is about to obtain a PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline, with a solid foundation in solution‑processable materials, device manufacturing, charge transport physics, self‑assembling monolayer materials and relevant patterning techniques.
Benefits
* Market‑leading pension scheme
* Excellent employee health and wellbeing services including an Employee Assistance Programme
* Exceptional starting annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays
* Additional paid closure over the Christmas period
* Local and national discounts at a range of major retailers
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
