Psychologist within SEND

Location: Wakefield, UK

Salary: £62,769 - £73,666 annually, plus excellent benefits


We are on the lookout for a talented Psychologist to join our team within the field of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Wakefield. This exciting role will be based across our esteemed Hall Cliffe School and Hall Cliffe Primary School, both highly regarded institutions nestled within beautiful settings, known for transforming young lives for the better. With Ofsted 'Outstanding' ratings and a supportive environment, these schools focus on children with ADHD, autism, SEMH needs, and more. What you will do:

- Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex needs.

- Support educational and residential teams in creating therapeutic living and learning environments.

- Develop individualised care plans tailored to each young person.

- Deliver consultation, workshops, and training to staff to enhance the support offered to students.

- Engage with multi-disciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care.

- Record and report on clinical assessments and progress.


To be part of our team, you should:

- Hold a qualification as a Clinical, Educational, Forensic, or Counselling Psychologist and be registered with the HCPC.

- Possess proven experience in assessing and supporting children with complex needs.

- Be skilled at providing clinically informed environments and leading therapeutic interventions.

- Bring a confident and effective leadership style to train and guide teams.

- Display excellent organisational skills and initiative.

- Remain committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people.
