Responsibilities

About the Role:

This for a Client Services Project Manager is assigned to a specific campus and are responsible for the control and management of all client requirements within their Area of Responsibility (AOR). This role will be direct client facing and work in support of client requirements. Predominantly based between Corsham and Farnborough with flexibility of home working a day per week which may be negotiable. Full understanding of datacentre projects, overseeing various work packages to completion. Leading the projects direct for the end customer, engaging and allocating works to the 3rd party sub contractor for various data centre fit out packages.

Purpose:

The purpose of this document is to explain the roles and responsibilities of the Client Services Project Manager (Contract)

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Client Delivery Executives (CDE’s) for new and existing clients to capture their requirements for all fit out works and general requests associated within their area of responsibility (AOR)

Project Initiation:

* Receive and review Client Request.
* Raise a Job number.
* Liaise with Client to identify scope.
* Complete a requirements document.
* Engage with Suppliers and obtain quotations, conduct site survey if required.
* Liaise with Internal Technical Departments to ensure that proposed design conforms to current standards, and that operational efficiency is not compromised.
* Create required design documentation and submit for approval.
* Create a cost plan and submit to finance for approval.
* Issue quotation to client or costs to commercial for SRF formulation.
* Update Client Fit out Schedule.
* Produce a high level project plan.
* Update Supplier Portals if applicable.

Project Commencement:

* Review Project Requirements
* Raise Purchase Orders to Suppliers and confirm delivery Timescales.
* Production of design documentation as required for Internal and Client approval.
* Create a Scope of works and issue to supplier.
* Confirm Resource requirements and availability.
* Create a detailed Project Plan.
* Liaise with CDE and obtain LOA’s and arrange any hosting requirements.
* Request Supplier RAM’s, review and resolve any issues.
* Raise CRQ, submit RAM’s for approval and arrange access as appropriate.
* Induct Suppliers prior to Project commencement and sign off RAM’s.

Project Implementation

* Project Manage activities ensuring the project is delivered within the contractual SCD and budget.
* Escalate any issues or risks to Head of Client Services.
* Provide Regular updates to all stakeholders.
* Update Client Fit Out Schedule.
* Update Risks and Issues Log as required.
* Update Supplier Portals if applicable.
* Resolve any incidents and confirm to Head of Client Services when complete.
* Incident Management and Resolution.

Project Closure

* On completion inspect installation with supplier.
* Create Snag List and confirm Timescales for resolution.
* Issue Practical Completion certificate (PCC) and arrange handover with Client.
* Close Down CRQ in Remedy.
* Notify Finance to invoice Client.
* Ensure all ‘As Fitted’ Documentation is provided by Suppliers.
* Update all associated Documentation.
* Close Job Number Down.

General Roles and Responsibilities:

* Maintain operational relationships between the clients and DC operator
* Ensure effective, regular and ongoing communication with all staff.
* Assist in the development of new business proposals and approve deliverables prior to final submission.
* Provide regular updates as directed by Head of Client Services.
* Liaise with Head of Client Services on problems or current issues affecting Client Services delivery.
* Any other Tasks as directed by Head of Client services.
* Attend Meetings as required.


Qualifications

Skills & Experience Required:

* Strong technical knowledge of both:
* Data Centre Infrastructure (power, cooling, cabling, fitouts)
* Physical Security Systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection)
* Extensive experience in project or operations management within data centres, critical infrastructure, or physical security environments.
* Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
* Experience with P&L ownership, budgeting, and financial reporting.
* Strong client management skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
* Deep understanding of compliance frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, CPNI, GDPR, and health & safety regulations.
* Excellent communication and reporting skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

* PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PSP, or CPP certification.
* Familiarity with smart buildings, IoT security technologies, and emerging infrastructure solutions is highly desirable.
