1842 - Medical Staffing Administration Assistant
This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprenticeswho are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that thesalary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75%max of band)until they have completed their apprenticeship.
The role of the Medical Staffing function is tosupport the Trust in achieving its strategic aims and service objectives bydeveloping more flexible ways of employing, retaining and rewarding Medical andDental Staff and by supporting line managers to manager their staff.
We require a highly motivatedindividual to work in our busy department. You will be required to work withthe minimum of supervision and as part of a team tosupport the recruitment and selection process generally, ensuring thatprocedures and policies in relation to advertising, interviewing andappointments are adhered to.
Applicants should possess good communication andorganisational skills and be able to work under pressure. Previous receptionexperience and computer/keyboard skills are essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
To support the recruitment and selectionprocess generally, ensuring that procedures and policies in relation toadvertising, interviewing and appointments are adhered to.
To ensure that input to NHS Jobs and ESR(Electronic Staff Records) Computer System is accurate and up to date. Thepostholder will also be expected to undertake routine quality control checks.
Awareness of all recruitment procedures including Equal Opportunitiesinformation, declaration of convictions, Data Protection Act requirements andensure this is adhered to at all times.
To maintain personal files and computerised records to provide accurateinformation for individual employees in accordance with Data Protection Act1998 and Codes of Practice and budgetary purposes.
To participate in the departmental reception,taking telephone enquiries.
Any other duties commensurate with the post andgrade.

* GCSE or equivalent
* OCR II Word Processing
Experience
* Experience of using a computerised database system
* Admin and clerical experience.
* Previous recruitment administration experience.
* Computerised HR information system (e.g. ESR)
* Experience of using NHS Jobs to administrate recruitment campaigns.
* Awareness of current HR issues in the NHS
* Knowledge of the NHS Employers Employment Check Standards.
