Job Title: Finance AssistantLocation: WakefieldContract: Temporary (Potential of permanent opportunities)Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
The Role
A growing business based in Wakefield is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to support the finance team during a period of continued growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast paced environment where you will play a key role in supporting the day to day finance operations.
Working closely with the wider finance team, you will assist with transactional finance duties and help ensure the smooth running of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
* Supplier statement reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
* Assisting with bank reconciliations
* Supporting the sales ledger function including raising invoices where required
* Deal with customer and supplier queries
* Maintaining accurate financial records and updating internal systems
* Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc finance administration
About You
* Previous experience in a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant
* Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
* Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
* Confident communicator who can work well within a team
* Good Excel and finance system experience preferred
