Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a civil engineering graduate to join our business, based at our offices in Fareham, Hampshire. An immediate start is available.
You will experience a variety of projects with a high level of responsibility from day one. You will be have hands on involvement with inspection, design, feasibility, tendering, construction, diving, management, maintenance. You will be constantly challenged leading to a fast development and progression to the standard of a Chartered Engineer. It would be our expectation that you will be Chartered with the ICE within 4-years.

The role will require you to:
* Plan and manage smaller projects including inspections and repair works, taking full responsibility to ensure they are delivered on time, budget and specification.
* Assist in the planning and management of larger projects, including specifications and tenders, working closely with Senior Engineers, Dive Supervisors and Project Teams.
* Develop the knowledge and skills to deliver a range of maritime civil engineering projects.
* Develop your technical engineering skills to assist in the design and analysis of complex maritime structures
* Have an interest in commercial diving operations
* Have an interest in working for an SME and input in to all areas of the business.
* Maintain working relationships with a variety of clients and suppliers.
* Identify opportunities for new products and services which drive quality, efficiency and safety.
* Develop company management systems and applications for third party accreditations.
You will have:
* Up to 3 years experience within civil engineering.
* A self-starter, with exceptional organisational skills.
* Hold a Civil Engineering degree (2:2 or above) accredited with the Engineering Council
* An acute awareness of the importance of safe working practices, and regulatory compliance.
* An ability to handle and make judgements based on commercial information.
* Drive and enthusiasm to take on new challenges, build relationships and maintain effective internal and external networks.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and especially verbal at all levels.
* An ability to create clear and accurate project plans, and track their progress against milestones.
* Willingness and ability to travel independently within the UK, and occasionally abroad to undertake project assignments.
Desirable:
* Experience of working within the Marine Civil Engineering industry.
* Progressing towards professional registration, and be willing and capable of applying for CEng from ICE and/or IStructE
