Job ref: ITSD220126 Job type: Permanent Location: Newry Closing date: Thursday 05 Feb 2026 13:00 Job Overview Norbrook are recruiting for an IT Systems Developer Support the implementation and delivery of new IT systems and minor changes / enhancements to existing IT systems in a specific systems development domain. Main Activities/Tasks Support the development and implementation of new IT systems. Support the successful delivery of technical changes and enhancements to existing IT systems. Support efforts to improve the day-to-day performance of IT systems. Support the successful completion of project related systems development deliverables within agreed timescales and cost for specific projects. Develop and maintain appropriate support documentation for IT systems including knowledge base and configuration documentation. Serve as a subject matter expert for any technical decisions affecting their IT systems. Assist in validation of new and existing IT systems where necessary. Complete all work in accordance with GxP requirements (GMP, GLP, GCP and GPvP) and any required standards using the appropriate SOPs, methods and tools. Manage all incidents, problems, service requests and change requests that are allocated to the agreed service level. Any other duties deemed necessary by management. Essential Criteria: BSC in Computer Science, Information Technology or related subject(s) or equivalent work experience. Typically 2 years working in an IT Systems role supporting or developing IT systems. Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving. Demonstrates excellent inter-personal skills and confidence dealing with colleagues. Demonstrates a high level of responsibility and ownership of technical issues. Proven ability to work unsupervised individually and as a member of a team to agreed targets. Hands-on experience in .NET development, RESTful API integration, and building solutions on the Power Platform. Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing, data extraction, optimisation and performance tuning across large relational datasets. Good knowledge of Dev Ops processes including Experience using Git for source control, including branching, merging and pull-request workflows. Experience in using Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to design interactive dashboards, paginated reports, scheduled report deliveries and insightful visualisations that support key business decision-making. Good communication, time management and organisational skills. Good MS-Office (Word / Excel) and MS-Sharepoint proficiency.
