These posts offer opportunities in Anaesthesia or Intensive Care within an (ACSA) accredited department, located between the Yorkshire Dales and the cities of Bradford and Leeds.
Subspecialty interests such as regional anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, or paediatric anaesthesia can be accommodated. For intensive care, applicants with a dual CCT in any specialty including anaesthesia or a single stem ICU CCT (or equivalent) are preferred.
Applications are welcome from both new and established Consultants. The job plan initially involves 10 PAs, with the possibility to increase up to 12. Additional responsibilities can be included within the job plan, with dedicated SPA time. Professional leave is available for extra responsibilities and study leave. Informal discussions are encouraged before interviews.
Main duties
* Work as part of a team of Consultants to develop the Department.
Objectives of the posts
* Provide high-quality, safe patient care.
* Deliver anaesthetic services for elective and emergency patients, including Critical Care, obstetrics, and inter-hospital transfers.
* Collaborate within multi-professional teams for effective care.
* Understand and perform roles during Major Incidents and Trauma Calls.
* Support clinical performance targets.
Requirements
Applicants must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of admission if in a UK training program. Trainees should specify their expected CCT date. All other doctors must be on the Specialist Register at application.

Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent
* GMC Registration
* FRCA or FFARCS or equivalent
* Intermediate level Obstetrics, Regional Anaesthesia, or Pain Medicine
Desirable qualifications
* Higher academic qualifications, ATLS/ALS/APLS/PALS
* Management courses
* Advanced qualifications in Obstetrics, Regional Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, or Pain Medicine
* FFICM/EDIC or equivalent
Experience
* On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of CCT
* Understanding of NHS Constitution
Skills
* Broad experience in anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, obstetrics
* On-call skills
* Clear written communication
