GSL Education are seeking an experienced Caretaker to join a school in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will ensure that the premises are safe, well-maintained, and provide a welcoming environment for students and staff. Key Responsibilities of Caretaker: Perform general maintenance, repairs, and minor DIY tasks as required. Manage site security, including opening and closing the premises. Conduct regular health and safety checks across the school site. Oversee waste management, deliveries, and stock levels for maintenance supplies. Support cleaning teams and ensure outdoor areas are well-kept. Report any issues promptly and liaise with contractors when needed. Requirements of Caretaker: Previous experience as a caretaker, site manager, or facilities role (school experience is an advantage). Practical skills for basic repairs and maintenance tasks. Strong understanding of health and safety standards. A proactive, trustworthy, and organised approach to work. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
