Part-Time HR Specialist – Leading Manufacturing Business (Rotherham)
Sharp Consultancy is delighted to partner with a well‑established and expanding manufacturing business in Rotherham, seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join their supportive HR team of three. This is a varied and impactful role where you’ll contribute to long‑term people strategy across recruitment, learning and development, processes, and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out weekly payroll checks, cross‑system data verification and assist with smooth monthly payroll delivery
* Maintain HR/Time & Attendance systems with up‑to‑date employee information
* Support recruitment and talent activity across the business
* Work closely with the HR Assistant on administration and monthly KPI reporting
* Provide clear, practical guidance to managers on wellbeing, best practice, and Occupational Health matters
* Advise on employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and redundancy
* Lead and support investigations while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures
* Identify learning needs, source and book cost‑effective training, track spend and report on outcomes
* Maintain accurate and compliant electronic personnel records
* Carry out additional HR duties as required
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
* CIPD qualified (Level 5 preferred, with flexibility based on experience)
* Confident with HR systems and proficient in Microsoft applications
* Strong communicator, able to give and receive constructive feedback
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
* Skilled at building relationships and influencing at all levels
* Self‑motivated, able to work independently and use initiative
* Collaborative team member who enjoys sharing knowledge
Desirable:
* Counselling or employee wellbeing support skills
