ASSISTANT TRANSFER STATION OPERATIONS MANAGER REQUIRED FOR ESTABLISHED HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT OPERATION
TITLE: Assistant Transfer Station Manager – Hazardous Waste Operations
SALARY: circa £45,000 DOE, Pension & Benefits
LOCATION: Oxfordshire (relocators welcome)
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Assistant Hazardous Waste Site Manager, Senior Site Chemist, Chemical Waste Transfer Station Supervisor, Technical Manager, Senior Technical Assessor
ROLE: Transfer Station Operations Manager – Hazardous Waste
You will assist in the management of a Hazardous Waste Transfer operation
You will manage a team of operatives and chemists processing hazardous waste and treating specific waste streams
You will look to reduce costs and increase profitability
Be involved in maintaining compliance in line with company policy
EXPERIENCE: Assistant Transfer Station Manager – Hazardous Waste Operations
You may be an experienced manager or a senior chemist or assessor looking for the next step
Degree in Chemistry (or Chemistry/Environmental related discipline)
Ideally a WAMITAB / COTC Level 4 – either Managing Transfer or Treatment Operations
At least five years’ waste management experience
Understanding of all current UK legislation associated with the waste industry
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication skills
