Job Title: Behaviour Support Specialists – September 2025 Start

Salary: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly via PAYE (based on experience)
Are you experienced in supporting students with challenging behaviour? Do you have a passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning?
Teaching Personnel is working closely with secondary schools across Northamptonshire that require behaviour support specialists from September 2025. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience in managing behaviour in a school setting or working with young people in alternative provisions, youth work, or SEN support.
We Are Looking For:
Behaviour mentors, learning support assistants, or teaching assistants with behaviour experience
Individuals with a background in education, psychology, youth work, or mentoring
Resilient and calm professionals who can build strong relationships with students
Candidates with experience supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, trauma, or low self-esteem
People confident in managing challenging behaviour both inside and outside of the classroom
Daily Expectations:
Provide 1:1 or small group behaviour support for identified students
Help to de-escalate and manage challenging behaviour in a calm, professional manner
Support students in accessing learning and reintegrating into mainstream lessons
Build trust and rapport to act as a positive role model
Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams
Follow behaviour plans and safeguarding procedures consistently
Maintain accurate records of incidents and student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
