This role has a salary range of £47,142 - £51,175 per annum, working 36 hours per week.

We are looking for a Digital and Data Manager to lead the digital transformation and data strategy for the Surrey Pension Team (SPT). This pivotal role will shape how we use technology and data to deliver secure, compliant, and innovative services to over 130,000 members and 500 employers, helping us 'elevate the customer'.
You will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to modernise systems, improve digital engagement, and harness data for better decision-making and customer outcomes.

About The Team
The Surrey Pension Team administers the Surrey Pension Fund, part of the national LGPS. Surrey County Council oversees investment, funding, governance, and administration of the fund, supporting over 130,000 members and around 500 employers.

About The Role
As the Digital and Data Manager, you will develop and implement a digital roadmap aligned with the team's strategic goals. You will lead digital innovation projects, introduce automation, and explore new technologies to enhance service delivery. Defining and embedding data governance frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance and ethical data management will be key.
You will oversee data system architecture, analytics, and reporting to support service improvement. Managing digital tools like Tableau and Asana, you will keep the team at the forefront of technological trends. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners will be essential, as will championing a data-driven culture and advising on digital and data opportunities.
Shortlisting Criteria
To be shortlisted, your application should clearly demonstrate:
* Proven leadership in digital or data roles
* Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and analytics tools
* Experience with digital platforms, CRM/CMS, and cloud technologies (e.g., Azure)
* Knowledge of agile methodologies and digital product development
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, especially with non-technical audiences
* A proactive, collaborative approach and passion for continuous improvement
