Private Sector Enforcement Officer/EHO – 2 posts.

Pay: PO1-PO4 £43,308 – £54,360 per annum, including LW starting grade, depending on qualifications and experience.

Full‑time.

About the Team

The Private Sector Licensing and Enforcement team provides frontline service to improve housing conditions within the private rented sector and bring properties up to standard. The team supports and advises private tenants, homeowners and private landlords, working towards ensuring people renting privately live in decent houses and have a place to call home.

The team is dynamic, forward‑thinking and offers plenty of opportunities for development and growth.


About the Role

The successful candidate will carry out Environmental Health functions to enable the Council to meet its statutory obligations in respect of private sector housing licensing, including inspection, enforcement, education and advice. The role requires effective interpersonal and communication skills. The postholder will act as an authorised officer of the Council in the performance of statutory functions in accordance with the current scheme of delegation.
