Project Planner/Coordinator - Transformer Painting Works - Milton Keynes, England, United Kingdom - £Hourly Rate - 12 Month Contract - Immediate Start - Monday to Friday (8 Hour Days) - Hybrid (Office & Remote)
My client are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator / Planner to take ownership of coordinating transformer painting and maintenance activities across a large UK portfolio.
This role has become critical as coordination responsibilities have grown and now require a dedicated professional to ensure contractors are fully utilised, sites are planned effectively, and materials and programmes are aligned.
You will act as the central coordination point between internal stakeholders and external transformer painting contractors, ensuring work is planned, resourced, and delivered efficiently.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinating transformer painting contractors across ~4,000 units
* Building and maintaining a structured site and client database
* Planning workloads, site durations, and sequencing of works
* Ensuring painters are consistently utilised and scheduled effectively
* Ordering and coordinating materials (e.g. paint and consumables)
* Managing and tracking site reports following completed works
* Aligning painting works with commissioning programmes
* Liaising with internal stakeholders
* Acting as the external coordination lead for contractor activities, logistics, and site readiness
Requirements:
* Strong background in project coordination, planning, or scheduling
* Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and contractor programmes
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across teams
* Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
* Industry experience is not essential, but you must be experienced and capable — this is not a junior role
