Salary: up to £70,000 plus London Weighting and 15% bonus, depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. The salary range reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location: Office base in London Television Centre or Cardiff. This is a hybrid role, balancing office and home working.

THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global News and Streaming Finance team within BBC Studios. The BBC is a leading international news and media organization and the most trusted international news broadcaster. The role involves supporting global audiences through BBC World News, BBC.com, and various streaming and podcast services. The Finance Business Partner will focus on CP&A, report to the Senior Finance Business Partner, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Studios and Public Service. The role is pivotal for end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and improving planning processes for World News, Global Ad Sales, and Digital News & Streaming.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading annual and medium-term planning processes, including budgets and forecasts, with a focus on P&L and cash, involving stakeholders from commercial, digital, ad sales, and operations teams.
2. Managing planning cycle timelines and ensuring timely delivery of forecasts.
3. Monitoring actual performance against budgets, analyzing risks and opportunities, and assessing implications for the full-year outlook.
4. Preparing budgets, quarterly forecasts, and management reports, presenting information effectively for senior stakeholders.
5. Providing regular reporting and analysis to inform business decisions, including KPI monitoring and project cost tracking.
6. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including Public Service colleagues and finance teams.
7. Developing and maintaining data processes to improve financial performance, including system reconciliations.
8. Supporting business case and investment proposal preparations with relevant analysis.
9. Line managing two finance analysts.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
Essential criteria:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Experience in budgeting, business planning, and forecasting, including system uploads.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and interpret complex financial data.
* Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
* Experience in process improvement, financial systems, and controls, including reconciliations.
* Experience with financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office.
* UK-based.
Desirable criteria:
* Knowledge or experience in the media or broadcasting sector.
