Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will provide a full financial management accounting service for this well-established charity organisation.
Experienced in all aspects of SME organisation finances, you will be well versed in monthly accounts preparation, providing timely information and delivering tight financial control over operations.
This post would suit a seasoned professional looking to utilise their skills within a charity framework or an individual with experience in organisation finances, who is looking for a career move up to manage the full function.
Ideally you will have:
An accounting qualification, however experience is of equal value.
Experience of all accounting functions within a SME or charity/similar organisation purchase matching, BACS payroll, monthly accounts preparation, petty cash management etc.
Experience of meeting accounting deadlines and setting priorities for yourself and others
Experience of using SAGE/IRIS/Quickbooks or similar accounting package and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Experience of drafting management financial information, and meaningful reporting of variances to Chief Executive/Trustee Board
Strong communication skills both orally and in writing
Self-reliant, ability to prioritise workload and able to problem solve independently
Strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles
The ability to commit to, and work within, the aims, principles and policies of Swansea Women’s Aid
As in any organisation prudent financial management is key to success, but it can be argued that it is even more important in a charity context.
