We’re partnering with a dynamic, owner-managed pet food company that’s passionate about creating all-natural, nutritious, and delicious food for pets. Following the acquisition of several new brands, the business is entering its next phase of expansion and is looking for a Field Sales Manager with a natural flair for relationship-building and commercial growth.
This is a financially secure, fast-growing business with ambitious plans for the future, combining organic growth and acquisition to strengthen its position in the market. You’ll be a key part of the commercial team, working closely with the owners and leadership group to shape both customer and product strategy.
While the role is customer-facing, it also offers the opportunity to influence product development, contribute ideas, and identify new growth opportunities with an entrepreneurial mindset. For the right person, there’s huge potential for long-term progression as the company expands into grocery and national accounts, building on its already strong foundations within the independent retail channel.
The Role
* Manage a portfolio of around 400 existing accounts, while driving new business growth.
* Partner with independent retailers, from farm shops and corner stores to e-commerce operators and raw food specialists, helping them grow their businesses.
* Upsell and expand product ranges across the customer base.
* Travel up to four days per week across the UK, meeting existing and prospective customers.
* Work closely with leadership to spot opportunities for innovation and category growth.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in field sales with physical products.
* Strong relationship-building skills, ideally within the independent retail sector.
* A self-starter who’s confident working autonomously and loves being on the road.
* Friendly, approachable, and genuinely passionate about the pet food or natural products space.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with an eye for new opportunities and commercial growth.
