Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, preparing reports, and providing insights to support the organization's financial health. This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Management:
* Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Assist in developing budgets and forecasts by analysing financial data.
* Monitor budget performance and report variances.
* Tax and Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
* Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
* Reporting and Analysis:
* Generate financial reports for management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
* Process Improvement:
* Streamline and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
* Implement and maintain accounting software and tools as needed.
Qualifications:
* Experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in accounting software ( Net Suite, Sage) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
