About the role
Looking for the chance to have an important role in nature's recovery in one of England's mostdistinctive and dramatic landscapes? We have been successful in an application to DEFRA'sLandscape Recovery Round 2. The two-year development phase project will be led by the PeakDistrict National Park Authority and supported by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. We are nowrecruiting for a Biodiversity Improvement Officer to develop Morridge Hill Country (MHC).
MHC is an area of upland and associated foothills in the south-west part of the Peak DistrictNational Park. The ambition of MHC is to provide hope and inspiration for enhancingbiodiversity in one of the worlds most visited national parks – The Peak District, by workingwith 15 private and public landowners across 3500ha to create a ‘bigger, better, and moreconnected natural landscape’.
To help develop this project across a two-year development phase, the BiodiversityInterventions Officer is a key project position responsible for producing a consulted andagreed plan of environmental enhancement works to improve biodiversity and connectivity acrossthe project area. The work will be delivered as part of a future delivery project.
