Overview
Relief Security Officer – East Midlands (Burton & Derby Areas). Sites include: Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Nationwide, Samworth Brothers. Pay: £12.21 per hour. Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence + your own vehicle. Shifts: Days, nights, weekends – supporting holiday cover, sickness and short-notice callouts.
What You'll Do
As a Relief Security Officer, you'll be the reassuring presence that keeps people, property and assets safe. You'll adapt quickly to new environments and deliver high-quality service wherever you're needed.
Operational Excellence
* Follow all site policies and Assignment Instructions (AI's)
* Adjust to changing site needs and suggest ways to improve service
* Always work within industry guidelines, displaying correct licences
Training & Development
* Complete mandatory training to keep your skills sharp
* Embrace additional learning opportunities to advance your career
* Make use of technology to stay up to date on processes
* Renew your SIA licence 16 weeks before expiry
Security & Safety
* Spot and report Health & Safety risks immediately
* Stay alert to suspicious behaviour or security threats
* Log incidents accurately and follow the correct reporting procedures
* Make required check calls on time
* Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, emergency services and the Mitie Communications Centre
What You'll Bring
* Previous security experience
* Valid SIA licence (SC clearance a bonus)
* Strong communication skills & attention to detail
* Calm, reliable and able to think clearly under pressure
* Proactive mindset with excellent decision-making
