The Role
First level registered nurse, managing all trained and untrained nursing staff within a defined team responsible for the delivery of nursing care to a high standard. Carry overall responsibility for the supervision and management of nursing staff and clinical care delivered on an ongoing basis (continuous responsibility 24/7).

What we'll need you to bring
1. Registered Nurse with valid Mental Health NMC Registration
2. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
3. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
5. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
6. Management qualification or equivalent gained through experience and continuous professional development
7. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
8. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
9. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Effective time management skills
11. Working knowledge of basic information technology
A driving licence is required, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

12. Further education/evidence of continuous professional development in area of speciality including study days, courses, postgraduate qualification
13. Previous managerial and leadership experience
14. Post registration experience
15. Expert practice within speciality
16. Evidence of personal contribution to professional standards and guidelines

Please note this is a 6 Months fixed term post. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location
This role will be based in Older Adult Mental Health Team within Bellshill Locality.
