Putlands Veterinary Surgery - Head Registered Veterinary Nurse
Putlands Veterinary Surgery is a mixed practice located in Paddock Wood, Kent. We pride ourselves on serving our community by providing high-quality veterinary care to pets, farm animals, and equines. Our diverse patient base offers an excellent opportunity for our nursing team to develop a wide range of skills and qualifications.
We are seeking a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead our passionate team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, starting August 2025, covering maternity leave. The position is 40 hours per week, with working hours between Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm, and Saturday mornings from 8am to 12pm. Flexibility on days is available, including 2 in 7 Saturdays with time off in lieu.
The ideal candidate will be innovative, with either further clinical qualifications or management experience to guide and develop our team. As a nurse training practice, you will also act as a clinical coach for SVNs, with training provided if needed. We support your professional growth and development.

To be considered, you should have:
* RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse
* Proven general practice skills and surgery experience
* Eagerness to learn and develop
* Experience or interest in clinical coaching
* Strong focus on patient care
* Excellent communication skills and team spirit
* Self-motivation and ability to motivate others
* Positive attitude and enthusiasm
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to handle challenging situations tactfully
* Ability to balance work and study commitments
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
